Welcome to the Friends of the Pine Island Library
We are a non-profit organization of volunteers who actively support and promote the public library of Pine Island, Florida. We have an elected board of directors and a large membership.
We raise funds to support programs and purchase materials for the library not covered by the Lee County Library budget. We also sponsor cultural events for community enrichment.
Our projects
- Annual sales of donated books
- Sponsorship of cultural events
- Sponsorship of author luncheons
- Sponsorship and management of the Friends book club
- Financial support and arrangement of library projects in cooperation with the library
- Recognition of library staff
- Awareness of library programs
